Education and evolution

This is 2nd part of a series of videos available on YouTube discussing Montessori. In this video Dr Steve Hughes discusses the need for a new way of educating, and this is what particularly resonated with me. 

Teaching a child how to learn effectively is far more important than just imparting dry facts that will soon be forgotten and redundant in our ever accelerating world.

It was Charles Darwin who said “Survival is ultimately dependent on the ability to change and evolve”. Isn’t about time our children’s education reflected this too?
